No Prenup for Prince Harry

Prince Harry, aged 33, and Meghan Markle, aged 36, are engaged. According to Prince Harry himself, he does not intend to get a prenuptial agreement because he has determination to make the marriage succeed, last.

A prenuptial, or prenup, agreement would protect the 30 million quid fortune of Prince harry, but this does not deter him. Various courtiers, apparently, want the prince to safeguard his fortune. Markle’s first marriage to Trevor Engelson, an American film producer, ended after only 2 years.

Although, one columnist, Sophia Money-Coutts, claimed there may be a prenup being drawn up because both Harry and Meghan have fortunes and asset to safeguard or protect in the case of a marriage gone foul into the territory of divorce.

The divorce rates are a concern for the general public as well as the royalty and royalty-to-be. Princess Diana, aged 36, passed down 10 million British pounds to Prince Harry as inheritance when he turned 30-years-old.

Meghan has gathered upwards of 4 million quid in her life. Prince Harry is following the example of Prince William following his own marriage with Kate Middleton prior to the ‘tying of the knot’ as the onlookers call it.

It does not seem like much of a tradition, prenups, in the royal family as Princess Diana never had such as agreement either. However…
